High-definition video capture is pretty much de rigeur in this year's interchangeable-lens cameras, and essentially all the major manufacturers now provide some form of video capture in their compact system cameras. (Regular photos taken with the Fujifilm X-Pro1) (Thumbnails of all shots, including RAWs, with EXIF data) (Index to all standard test shots, with explanations) (Crops from images shot with the camera's kit lens, if sold as a kit) We also have reviews of the Fujifilm X-Pro1 and Fujifilm X-Pro2.Check out the links below for more sample images, videos and image quality analysis: See if you can spot any more differences that we might have missed, and read our hands-on review of the Fujifilm XPro-3 to see what our initial thoughts are on the new camera. The sub-monitor can be used to show camera settings but you don't have to display the current film simulation mode you've chosen. The main stand-out difference with the X-Pro3 is that there is a sub-monitor as well as a flip-down screen which is hidden from view unless you turn it around. On the back, the buttons have moved from the left to the right-hand side, and there's now a small joystick for setting the focus point more easily. On the subject of colours, the X-Pro3 is available in standard black, plus DURA black (looks like gun-metal / titanium), and DURA silver (looks like champagne silver). The top of the X-Pro3 looks very similar to the X-Pro2 but there is a subtle difference (if you ignore the colour difference), as the Fn button is now unlabelled. The exposure compensation dial has been updated to +/- 3ev, and the C (Custom) setting lets you control it electronically. The top has changed in a number of areas, including an updated flash hot-shoe (note the additional pins), an updated shutter speed dial adds speeds, as well as giving an ISO speed dial - when you lift up the dial, you can adjust the ISO speed (there is an Auto/A setting). Next, let's have a look at the top plate to see what's moved, what's new and if anything has been removed since the X-Pro1 has been reduced. Moving onto the X-Pro3 and from the front, you can see the grip has changed but, overall, the design remains very similar to the X-Pro2. The Fujifilm X-Pro 1, shown above, was introduced with a very simple design and this clean/basic look was carried through to the X-Pro 2 (shown below).Įven though the X-Pro2 takes reference from the simple design of the X-Pro1, there are some subtle differences, including the new command dial at the front, the movement of the microphone holes (to the top of the camera), and the change in grip design. The X-Pro1 is also the most expensive coming in at £1699 body only in comparison to the X-Pro2 priced at £1349 body only and the X-Pro1 available for £999 body only.Īs well as changes occurring inside the cameras, there have been some design tweaks since the X-Pro1 was introduced so let's take a closer look at the camera bodies to see how the X-Pro has evolved over the years. Size and weight-wise, they're all similar but the X-Pro3 is the heaviest weighing 497g which is 47g more than the X-Pro1. 4K video is available on both the X-Pro3 and X-Pro2 (just FulHD on the X-Pro1) and they're both weather-sealed, too (the X-Pro1 isn't). ISO range is slightly more extended than the X-Pro2 offered but the X-Pro3 has the same exposure compensation range as the X-Pro2 and it also shares the Dual SD card slot which was a single slot on the original X-Pro1. It also offers better continuous shooting (11 fps), more auto-focus points and USB-C. The X-Pro3 has the biggest pixel count, best OVF/EVF, and battery life. USB-C, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (no HDMI), Mic socket

If you can tell a lot about a person by the way they answer the phone, then I wonder what you can tell about a person by what sketches they prefer. Some of the cranks may be mean-spirited, but I can’t think of another comedy on television this concerned with testing people’s tolerance levels and compassion for others. Created by Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Carolla and Daniel Kellison, Crank Yankers makes all the crank phone calls you wish you'd made when you were a kid. HOLLYWOOD 162358 CRANK YANKERS -THE BEST UNCENSORED CRANK CALLS: VOLUME 1. It’s amazing what you can tell about a person by the way they answer and respond to a crank caller, observations the creators of the show brilliantly incorporate into the program’s aesthetic (one particularly hard-assed crankee has a picture of Ronald Reagan next to his phone).Įvery week, the creators miraculously tap into the social problems that separate the caller and the person being called, and every response is a reminder of the way we connect (or don’t) with one another. Top Internet Album Sales reflects physical albums ordered though Internet. Like the town of Yankerville where the show’s puppets reside, the phone calls may be fake but the embarrassments they elicit are very real. 20 How Big Is Your Caulk: Tony Barbieri as Niles calls a hardware store to inquire about the hardness and girth of their different caulks. Why puppets? Maybe because the producers of Comedy Central’s Crank Yankers, one of the funniest programs on network television, wanted to comment on the ease with which they can pull people’s strings. Here are 15 prank calls from Crank Yankersguaranteed to crank your yank. Featuring Tracey Morgan, Sarah Silverman, Dave Chappelle, Wanda Sykes, Denis Leary, Jimmy Kimmel, and Adam Carolla, the disc features several routines from the television show, including 'The Chinese Rapper' and 'Attacked by a Monkey. The map of this area is the largest map on the right, showing Gannett Peak, the glaciers and the crash site. 14, 1943-a B24 four-engine bomber with a crew of 11 crashed in the Shoshone National Forest near our beautiful Trail #801. One of the crashes was found at the time the plane went down, but the other one (a B17 with a deceased crew of 10) wasn’t found for two years.Īug. To my surprise, there were actually two bombers that crashed in Wyoming during WWII. After calling several forest ranger districts and the Wyoming Historical Society, I started to get conflicting stories. Years went by, and now, as the owner of these exciting “Airport Journals” aviation newspapers, I decided to finally look into the story of this crashed bomber. The subject piqued my interest, so I vowed to research the story. None of us knew anything about such a crash, only that one had gone down not far from where we had been hiking. peaks with scouts, but this was a very special and rewarding climb.ĭuring one of our evening campfires on this trip, someone mentioned a WWII bomber that had crashed. What a relief reaching the other side! Over the years, I had summited many of Colorado’s 14,000-ft. So I quickly, but very carefully, crossed the bridge. They said there was a big crack just below where I was standing. On the second one (with the boys ahead of me as usual and down below me), I called down to the boys, prior to crossing the snow bridge. Coming off the peak, we had to cross two tricky snow bridges. Some of the route was so steep that even with the snow being soft, we had to grasp the handle of our ice axes, moving only one support at a time (i.e., only one foot or the ice axe). The two boys and I left for the climb early the next morning. This is in glacier country, so our mountain was snow-covered from its base to its summit. When we finally reached the base of Gannett Peak, only two boys, Scott Tandberg and Chris Near, felt comfortable and eager to climb the mountain. This trail is classed as one of the five most scenic mountain trails in the U.S. Our route to Gannett Peak was on National Forest Trail #801, going south for 25 miles starting near Dubois, Wyo. Our hike was to culminate in climbing Gannett Peak, at 13,800 feet, the highest in Wyoming. A few years ago, I was a leader of 14 high school boy scouts on a six-day backpack trip in the Wyoming Bridger Wilderness (Wind River Range). The Battlegrounds Season Pass is currently available only for real money through Runestones. The number of Heroes you can choose from goes up to four if you purchase the Battlegrounds Season Pass that unlocks additional Hero picks and cosmetics. No two players will ever share the same Hero – no one will be offered duplicates. When you start a match, you get two Hero choices and pick one. However, sometimes the right strategy is to ignore your Hero Power altogether and go with strong minions that are offered to you: use your Hero Power to your advantage when you can, but also be ready to choose a different route when you are not offered minions that have synergy with your Hero Power. Some of the Heroes are stronger in the early game, whereas some have good late-game scaling, so you can adapt your strategy to the Hero you’ve picked. While they do not affect the minions offered in the Tavern, each Hero comes with a different Hero Power – a special ability that is either completely passive or an active ability that you can use in the Tavern (between combat phases). Players currently have access to 91 Heroes: the pool changes from time to time with some Heroes being changed, new Heroes being added, and some of the old ones being removed in balance patches. See a full list of minions in our Battlegrounds card database! It doesn’t play like most “Auto Chess” games, and it still feels a lot like Hearthstone, but that might be an advantage! The general idea behind it was to take the popular Auto Battler genre and translate it into Hearthstone. You could even say that it’s a new game built into Hearthstone. Battlegrounds is a different game mode in Hearthstone that completely changes the way you play the game. Rugal, in turn, relieved Heidern of one of his eyes, which makes us think that SNK sure seems to have a lot of one-eyed characters, witness Gilbert, Jubei Yagyu, and Ramon. With strength that surpasses Rugal, the boss character of '94 and '95, the episode of the young Goenitz taking out the eye of Rugal was added to the game's story. It's not that they were hidden, but there wasn't enough time to insert them into this initial version (we can talk about this calmly now, but at the time.forget about it!).Ībout Goenitz: In spite of the fact of Goenitz's sole official appearance in '96, he continues to have a considerable following of fans to this day, making him one of KOF's most popular characters. At the location test for this title, Mature and Vice were still not included in the game. The period of development for KOF '96 dragged on right up to the time of its scheduled release. The official illustrations for Vice and Mature remain extremely popular, and we're glad we could supply our fans with these images that cannot be reduced to pixels. Consequently, they received additional characteristics: they were actually spies sent to observe Rugal and the descendants of the Orochi 8ketsu Clan.Ībout Vice: If Mature was the 'ruthless woman', Vice was to be the 'cruel woman'. So these two characters came into being (Talk about slacking off). For the chief game planner at the time, it seems that both she and Vice were given the image of the 'ruthless woman' and the 'cruel woman' respectively, but when they became actual characters things got a little hectic, and someone came up with, 'Rugal had a secretary, didn't he. Designed with the ardent love of her designers, Leona's special moves are markedly unique compared to the other characters, and reveal the particular tastes of her designers.Ībout Mature: She used to be Rugal's secretary. Introducing the plot element of Heidern's adopted daughter had been dreamed up by the game designers before the production of KOF '96, and the details surrounding her origins gradually came to include a crucial role as a descendant of the Orochi tribe. Geese's music (Geese ni Katakori) is a remixed version of his Fatal Fury 1 theme music (Geese ni Kiss).Ī remixed version of Big Shot! (originally Terry's theme music in "Fatal Fury 3 - Road to the Final Victory") was used as the Fatal Fury Team's music.Ībout Leona: Along with the extensive overhaul to the team lineup of KOF '96, Leona entered the series as a replacement for Heidern, leader of the Ikari Team. If you look at the game code for this game, you would have seen more moves that were originally planned for this game, but never made the cut (for some characters, these moves debuted in later games).Īmong those moves that were cut were Kyo's Saishuu Kessen Ougi 'Mu Shiki', Daimon's Arashi no Yama, Robert's Muei Senpuu Juudan Kyaku, Ralf's Umanori Vulcan Punch, Clark's Running Three, Geese's Deadly Rave and Choi's Hou'ou Kyaku. Yuri's Yuri Chou Mawashi Geri is a knock-off of Ryu's Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku. His basic moves, however, remained unchanged. Ryo Sakazaki's fighting stance changed from the regular 'dukes up' to try and distance him from being thought of as a Ryu ripoff. In this game, it happens only with Kyo Vs. This is the first game to include special phrases and poses when two characters in particular fight. → 8-way, Weak Punch, Weak Kick, Strong Punch, Strong Kick The 3rd chapter in this groundbreaking series brings 27 classic SNK characters together against Goenitz, the final boss. The game needs to make sure the animation can play, so you need a menu for that. The animation of course needs to be made first. Lets say, we are adding the ability to do crunches. Lets talk about the color transitions and small movements you've been talking about, lets see what goes into making something like this. Small changes, need to be approved by everyone, they need to fit in with every other system. If you really cared youd pay the one buck to read the dev diaries yourself, I bet even a student can affort that.īesides, game developement is hard, and I mean HARD. You are talking like they owe you anything. Originally posted by □□□□□:I shouldn't have to pay $1 to learn about a game I've been waiting for so long. If you don't want to support the game (or even follow the game) that's perfectly fine, go do something meaningful with your life, but you don't know the first thing about game development, so don't denigrate people's work with your ignorance. I doubt Patreon even covers their expenses. They have to pay taxes on that, plus taxes for their employees and whatever office space they have. Duh.Īlso funny how you casually ignored the first link.Īs for the funding, $40,000 a month isn't exactly a lot for game development. They're only going to show stuff off that actually works as intended. That means stuff they're working on doesn't work the way it will when the game is actually finished. What were you expecting, source code? The game is in development. Someone has found a page showing 10 bullet-points of vague things being worked on. Oh, I guess we've been proven wrong lads. Originally posted by blank:They have roadmap and dev history pages on their website. When another year inevitably passes and this game is still nowhere to be seen, I can hold my head up high knowing that at least I'm not scamming 2000 people out of half a million dollars every year for a nontransparent, risk-free project that's not even another inch closer to being done.but hey, at least we shared some screenshots every month, right guys? This game will come out one day, I just think it's immoral how you've chosen to get there. Like I said, ultimately I'm open to being proved wrong but for now my point stands. I know you're going to ask for specifics, but I can't remember exactly what was said and I'm not going to dig for it now, but it's out there for anyone wanting to find it. It's not even close to being enough material, in my opinion, for the amount of money being grossed.Īnd to add to your other point about a 2022 release date never being promised or implied, I'd argue it was strongly implied multiple times that the developers were going to release the game this year, or at the very least share the release date. I was an active member of the discord for a long time, and friends with people who were part of the Patreon, so I'm well aware of the kind of material the "team" distributes. You're equally hoping this project succeeds, so like a pyramid-scheme, you get something out of it if other people share the same blind optimism you do. You're not only a moderator, but someone giving money to the devs. It's in your best interest to push their project on more people because you hold some "skin" in it, so to speak. It's also hard to take the argument from someone who serves the developers. The whole philosophy is "this game is being built in secret, with no end in sight, and if you want to see what we're doing then give us your money or don't say anything at all". I'm open to being proved wrong, but as someone else correctly pointed out, encouraging more people to fall for this scam project in order to be proven wrong, actually proves our point further, and does nothing to debunk it. Subscribers (myself included) know exactly what we see every week, after all. This is just something to keep in mind to hopefully quell the concerns based on mere assumptions. Then again, they do occasionally (and publicly) show stuff on Discord. To a nonsubscriber, I imagine it can seem like the game isn't being worked on. Originally posted by Wed:Have either of you (the last two posters) subscribed to the Paralives Patreon for weekly developmental updates for as low as $1/month? Keeping Layer 1 selected, click Edit on the main toolbar and then Transform > Flip Horizontal. With the Move Tool selected, click on the top layer, and with the left mouse button depressed, drag Layer 1 next to the Background image. This will help avoid confusion later.Īt the moment, both layers will be in the same spot on the canvas, with Layer 1 sitting on top of Background. Rename the original image layer as “Background” by double clicking on the name “Layer 0” in the layers panel. Click OK and a new layer will appear in the layers panel. In the Duplicate Layer prompt, rename this layer as “Layer 1” as we will be duplicating a number of layers over the next few steps. Don’t worry about making this too exact as we will crop it to more exact proportions later. Now, duplicate this layer by right clicking it in the layers panel and selecting Duplicate Layer (or use the keyboard shortcut Cmd/Ctrl+J). Leave a few centimeters between the image and the edge of the canvas. Zoom out so you can view see the entire canvas and select the Move Tool located at the top of the left toolbar.Ĭlick on your photograph on the canvas, and with the left mouse button depressed, drag the image to a corner of the canvas. Add the same value to the smaller side of the image so that the canvas will be square. For example, the image I selected was originally 59.44 x 39.62cm so I multiplied 59 by 2 to get 118m then added 4 to get 122. To calculate the dimensions of the canvas, look at the largest side of the image, double that figure and add four. Now we need to add some space around the image. Go to Image > Canvas Size and a window will pop up with the dimensions of your current image. This will enable you to move the image around the canvas. Once you have selected an image and opened it in Photoshop, right click on the image in the layers panel and select Convert to Smart Object. From my own experimentation I’ve found images with bold, contrasting colors and negative space result in the best kaleidoscopic images. I’ve chosen this photograph of some fungi growing on an old tree stump. Step 1 – Setting up the canvasįirst, select a photograph. Although I now spend most of my time looking through the viewfinder of a camera, the magic of the kaleidoscope remains in my mind as an early foray into image making. Remember kaleidoscopes? Those curious tubes with an array of mirrors and colorful beads inside? As a kid, I would while away sunny weekends straining my eye against the viewing aperture, hypnotized by the endless combination of shapes, patterns, and colors. The resulting kaleidoscope patterns make fantastic desktop backgrounds and wallpapers too. This tutorial is a lot of fun, transforming photographs into kaleidoscopic wonders, often with surprising results. |
