These sites were part of a longer list of options presented by a number of local authorities and council across each region. Sites have been chosen in part for their 24/7 accessibility. Following intensive site-assessment work over the past 18 months, HiTrans, University of Strathclyde, Louth County Council, Dundalk Institute of Technology and Ulster University have compiled a list of sites that support the requirements of the INTERREG VA funding as well as the anticipated needs of motorists in each of the regions.
